Press releaseย โขย September 17, 2025 Female Founder Fest 2025 Female founder fest left us strong networking and amazing entrepreneur stories, as the one from Theresa Grotendorst who shared about neurodivergent entrepreneur Richard Branson. Richard owns more than 300 companies, but we admire him especially for his advocacy around dyslexia and his imaginative, bold way of approaching life. Theresa told her the story of Necker Island ๐๏ธ: When Richard was young, he wanted to impress Joan (who later became his wife). Without the money, he pretended to be interested in buying an island. A real estate agent covered the trip, and they flew over Necker. Richard offered $100,000 (rejected, as it was worth millions). Years later, with no other buyers, he bought it for $180,000, still borrowing the money and unable to build a house right away. He and Joan slept in a tent on the beach โบ. Today, Necker Island is worth about $150 million. This story reminded the founder of a personal moment. Years ago, while struggling with chronic illness and intrusive thoughts, she kept seeing German flags everywhere. She felt like when you want a red car and suddenly you start spotting these cars everywhere. She realized it was her survival mode leading her back to her teenage dream: to speak six languages, with German as the sixth. While delusional in Poland, she also imagined how she could bring her project to life in Germany, connecting neurodivergence, health, and creativity. So, she trusted her intuition and applied for a job there. Despite forgetting the interview (hello ADHD!), she got the job, and here it is, CORNER OF MOVEMENT UG is born! Stories like Bransonโs remind us: ๐ฑ Even when the path looks unrealistic, our imagination and intuition can guide us to extraordinary places.

Press releaseย โขย September 16, 2025 Zeit Congress: Courage for Sustainability Neurodiversity is as crucial for the human race as biodiversityย is for life in general, and when we talk about sustainability it couldnยดt make more sense. Neurodivergent individuals are natural activists, they are rebels that use their innate sensibility to address core universal matters as human rights, climate change and other justice causes. Corner of Movement attended the ZEIT WISSEN Courage to be Sustainable Congress. We met brilliant minds ๐ง , such as Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen. He specializes in conveying medical information in a humorous way. He discussed how “planetary health” means prioritizing the protection of our life-sustaining resources, which is our mission. Health education for sustainable workforces and changing people’s lifestyles. ARE YOU PART OF THE TRIBE?
Being neurodivergent is not a genetic error. We are a different specie inside of an ecosystem as any other species in nature. We bring sensitivity and kindness so we are able to evolve and survive. We are out of the box thinkers, we care about core universal matters and we are the rebels that can make changes in the world.
Neurodivergence includes ways of thinking such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. Recent studies support the idea that cognitive differences have been essential for human adaptation and may have evolved to maximize the collective capacity of societies.
Here are links to recent studies on the evolutionary and adaptive significance of neurodivergence:
Complementary Cognition Theory: According to research from the University of Cambridge, humans developed cognitive specializations due to the need to adapt to changing environments. This allowed human groups to divide between those who explored new possibilities and those who optimized existing knowledge. This balance between exploration and implementation is crucial for innovation and survival, showing how neurodivergence favors collaboration and group resilience.
Genetic Evidence of Adaptive Selection: Genetic studies have shown that certain traits, including those related to neurodevelopment, have been shaped by natural selection. For example, traits such as creativity or an inclination toward abstract thinking may have provided advantages in problem solving, increasing the adaptability of human communities over time.
Neurodiversity in Modern Innovation: Beyond evolution, neurodivergence is now associated with unique abilities in critical thinking and innovation. Environments that foster cognitive diversity tend to be more creative and resilient, suggesting that supporting these differences benefits both individuals and entire societies.
These findings highlight that neurodivergence is not only a characteristic of humanity, but could be fundamental to facing the challenges of the future. If you want to delve deeper, I can provide you with links to this research.
N+4 Model and Neurodiversity: This model analyzes cognitive variations and how they relate to neurodivergent conditions. It explores how neurodiversity phenotypes influence long-term well-being, highlighting the need for adaptive approaches to education and mental health. Access the study here.
